gaming on dual monitors, (game on both screens) is a bad idea as the center, usually where all the attention is, falls in between two bezels, which is pretty fat, your better off dumping all your money into one 120hz panel/ips panel/or one of those really high res (cant remember exact res, something like 2600x1400?) monitors

Perfect. Look at my monitors in my sig rig. They are amazing. Do realize I only game on one. But they are 1080p and look amazing. New egg has them for about $140 easily. So that is just under your budget. And they are 21.5 so they take up some space.

I'm a student so I use the two monitors when doing work and just one while gaming. So unless you want to game on three and have the capacity for multiple monitor gaming it is going to cost at least $450 in monitors alone.

I wouldn't recommend gaming at high-res with just a 5850 anyway = /

I agree with this part. You will only be gaming with a single monitor because gaming with two isn't that nice.

Or you can get 3 monitors but you'd need two cards that have alot of vram. I have my dell u2211h's and I love them smile.gif Check out the dell IPS monitors.

I am pretty sure he is just needing a single gaming display and a 2nd one to view on the side. I don't think he plans on gaming on two at the same time (1 large resolution), in which case, a single 5850 would be plenty to get started at 1080p.

They give me plenty of screen space. I wouldn't want anything bigger.
