looking at it now.

Gaming on dual monitors isn't as cracked up as it sounds on paper. The reality is that 99.99% of games capture the mouse on one screen and won't release it. If you alt+tab over to a window on the other monitor, it minimizes the game, defeating the purpose of using two.

I've tried mouse releasing programs, but they never seem to work right for me, and either freeze up my game, or minimize the window anyway.

There probably is a solution to the problem, I'm just not motivated personally enough to find one.

With source games, you can run them at full screen no border. All you have to do is his esc and move the mouse over to the next monitor. No alt tabbing or anything. I'm sure that other modern games are implementing this as well.

If the source game doesn't have full screen no border in it's options, all you have to do is right click on the game, go to "set launch options" and enter:
-sw -noborder

I also like to add -novid to skip the launch videos.

Edit: This is also useful if you're just using one monitor and want to quickly switch between your game and whatever program. Keep in mind though, that depending on your system specs, you might take a noticeable fps hit.

Check out Newegg's open box monitor section.
I picked up two 23" ASUS LED monitors for $81 each; they were BNIB.

Monitors in my sig rig. I have two of them. They are great... I think so at least. Led backlight 1080p around 130. Make sure you get the led back light ones though. Definitely 1080p too.
