Looking for a Tablet

Thread Starter
Well am a Microsoft student looking to buy a tablet why? I really don't want to invest in a netbook am looking for portability the galaxy tab has always had my heart but everyone seem to have a big thing for the transformer. My main use is for school work taking notes and getting rid of my books and just putting them on the tablet as well as for work I believe I can get my work done through a tablet why because if I h ave something big to do I can always just log into my pc at home and do it through there through the tablet anyway. Also reading and movie watching specially when am traveling. Honestly I have not looked into the transformer but I did checked the price $400 and that's perfect because my funds are not the best with school loans and all the oth er bills. Also I can take care of my 8 month old son and get work done while chasing him around lol. Do you guys recommend the transformer or just get the galaxy and pay an e extra $100 which I really don't want to cuz am tight righ now or will the transformer work for me?

transformer will be perfect for you, if you get the one with the keyboard even better for your notes!

Yep, the coupon works...but be prepared for resistance to honoring the coupon if the manager is a douche. The coupon was meant and sent only to Rewards members. SO....just sign up for the rewards card when you're there (which is instant membership after signing up) then use the coupon. I had to go to another Staples to buy my Iconia A500 because the manager was a pain. I didn't have to, but I just couldn't take him anymore. They really...really try to pressure you into getting extended warranties and virtually try to talk you out of buying any electronics with horror stories if you don't consider the warranty. So..I think my refusal to buy the warranty made him more inclined to resist honoring the coupon and I just didn't care for signing up for the Rewards card at that location.

I have a friend who works there. This is exactly what they're trained to do. "Force the customer to buy the extended warranty".

Yeah, good luck with that. Whether they have the tablet you want in stock or not...you can still have them order it. The coupon still applies as long as you place the order IN store. You can have them ship it to the store or directly to your house. The two Staples in my area only carry the Xoom, Blackberry Playbook, Acer Iconia A500, Dell Streak 7, and E-readers. Of course when I wanted the Iconia A500 and Transformer, they had to order the Transformer...then I later returned them both so I could repurchase the Iconia A500 with the coupon. They couldn't apply the coupon to an already purchased Tab, so I was left with no option but to return it. Not knowing that they were out of stock, I had to order the Iconia this time round....they wouldn't even let me repurchase the Iconia back due to the open box policy, even though nothing was wrong with it.

Coupon worked for me, and the place I went to gave no fuss. Not even a rewards member.
