A little help OCing 2500k

im trying to get 4.5 at a good voltage.
using offset and C1E. currently have the offset at -.05 but on load voltage gets to 1.4v. i did manual mode and it runs stable at 1.3v (would like to get that voltage) but when i turn the offset lower like -.100 it wont load windows.

i suspect the offset is dropping my voltage below what i needs on idle.

any tips?

im not sure how offset works, what MOBO do you have?

I find with my UD4 i enable LLC and it normally keeps my voltages within .12 from idle to load at 4.5ghz, i run 1.236v in CPU-Z for 1.224v under load.

Dont use offset, its easier to use manual voltage and no real difference from my knowledge.

i never even touched c1e, i think it stays off by default... But 4.5ghz is fine 24/7 as long as ur temps arent crazy.

From my memory i think c1e just brings down the power consumption, so if ur not crazy about saving every penny i dont see a need.

People have there tips on what you "should" and shouldnt enable, but as long as its stable and good temps, theres nothing to worry about.

I think it would be impossible if the gap in your OFFSET voltage and STABLE voltage is that great. Since if you use offset voltage, not only it will reduce your voltage by .100 on load, but also in idle. That is why you cannot boot into windows. For example, if you use offset of .100 your load will go from 1.4v down to 1.3 and your idle for example will go from 0.98 to 0.88.

4.5GHz @ 1.236v?
My laptop does 1.66GHz @ 1.236v

i saw it spike down to .6v....

i disabled both the C1E and the other speed step thing. but it still drops to 1.6ghz on idle weird...

oh well its stable at 4.6ghz 1.3v.
i would go higher but temps are touching 60s. need some overhead room for the summer.

C1, c3, c6, speed stemp try disable all of those and see if it still throttles down.
