Its a good card, but what resolution will you be playing with, do you need 2.5 GB vram?

You could also look at the 560ti which is a favorite around here, and a much better price point.

I am not getting that card, I plan on playing on 1920x1200, using this card http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130620

At 1920x1080, the 2560 VRAM gtx 570 is probably overkill as was previously mentioned. Usually, you only need gobs of VRAM if you're going to play at some crazy resolution and either A) Have a HUGE monitor which supports crazy high resolutions or B) Plan on running 2 or more monitors. That being said, you don't pay TOO much of a premium for the 2.5GB VRAM version, but I would still take the 1.28GB version and pocket the cash.... unless the 2.5 version went on sale

Agreed, the less expensive 1.25 gb version has more than enough for 1080p gaming.

You definitely don't need that version as previously said if all you're gonna play at is 1920x1200. If your budget is what you proposed with that first card AND you plan on overclocking, get this one, which has a more robust pcb / power phase design:

If you don't plan on overclocking, the one you linked is a great choice. Here's a thread I made on the subject when I was trying to decide on that card:

http://www.overclock.net/nvidia/1072...lassified.html

Someone mentioned getting a gtx 480 instead, and after looking at the suggestion, I decided the gtx 480 was the best choice. Here is the thread if you're open to the idea:
