Thread Starter
Just built a system with a i3 2100 and asus p8z68-v and the cpu temp is reading 49C in the bios and th mobo is reading 60C in windows. The cores however are in the 30s. Anything wrong? Should I return the mobo?

i would listen to the BIOS tbh, check your mounting and amount of TIM isn't too much.

I normally would too its just that 3 different monitoring programs show the same mid 30C temps...the cooler is stock btw and stock tim.

30c idle sounds about right for a stock cooler to be honest. I assume your BIOS was saying 49c because the TIM and stuff was still settling, and this is especially the case when you've just installed things.
