thinking about WCing any help?

heyy guys soo ive just built my new rig and currently ive got a coolermaster V8 (which was free) but im thinking about upgrading to a WCing system (which was my idea from the beginning but i got the V8 for free so decided to make do!)

so basically im only looking to WC my CPU quite possibly one day in the future ill WC my 580's but for now they can stay stock! so at the moment i just need to know prices of what i may need to be spending (pounds £)

ive seen the T-virus look alike reservouir and kind of melted! so im going to be wanting that http://www.frozenqpcmods.com/lf.php the blue 250mm

but as for a pump, rad, plates i have no clue! there is a budget i suppose but at the moment im not sure what it is as ill be purchasing everything in a month and ive heard the cheaper you spend the more youll need to pay out soo basically looking for a fair idea of good quality products!

oh and the tubes would love some UV blue to go with everything ive got going on in my case!

so thanks for reading guys anyhelp on what i need would be amasing and thanks for the help in advance

I love my T-Virus reservoir. I bought it from Alex, Frozen_Q, here at OCN in the cooling section. I got it for half price because it was his old version, and he had just released his new and improved Gen.5 model. He is a great guy, and will do custom orders for you.

You can get a Rasa kit, and just ditch the 5.25 bay reservoir. Which would be a easy, cost effective way. Or I can make you a list of parts needed and you can shop around and find the best price. Personally, I would keep an eye on the cooling section, and snatch up the parts as they come.

EDIT:This thread had everything you would of needed, but most of everything is sold already.

Do you have a set budget??

thanks for the reply ive spoken to alex about the reservouir and it looks like an excellent peice

my budget is going to be around £2-300 but i honestly dont have a clue how much it will all actually come to as im not completley sure how much individuall items are

thanks for the links also pretty helpful! and if you could personally make a list of products for me to have a gander i would be extremily grateful!

once again thanks for the help

Edit: also looking at the link to your build i think it is and im doing something completley similar with the 650d with the 2 120mm fans at the front of the case and the extra drill holes how did that work out for you? +1 for the help and nice looking mod!

I would say get the RX 240/360 kit and add your own reservoir. That way you would have everything you would need at once (being that its your first loop) for sure. Check out my Sig link to see the rx240 kit in detail. Oh you may want different fans with that kit too. Mine weren't as loud as some people say they are, but they didn't cool as well.

Remember with WC, you have a 2500k that doesn't necessarily run that hot. You would benefit 10 fold cooling the 580..

I agree, but since he is on a budget, and he said 580s, those plates can get very expensive, very fast, putting him out of where he wants to be.

I have the Rasa 360 kit myself and I'm getting ready to upgrade my loop a bit and it is going to be pricey. As long as you stay away from the compression fittings, you can easily make a nice custom loop in your budget (not sure how it converts to pounds, but in the $300-400 price range).

If you are just planning on having your CPU in your loop, you can get away with just a 240 rad. BUT, if you want to throw two or more 580s into the mix, you will need something bigger, I would even suggest a second rad. So maybe a 240 or 360 rad now, then a second 240 or 360 rad when you are ready to put your GPUs under water.

You need a radiator, CPU block, pump, tubing, fittings, a reservoir, and either Ptnuke or some pure silver(for keeping algae from growing).

Here is the smaller Rasa kit. As I am not sure if you can fit a thicker radiator in that case. In my 600T, you cannot fit a thicker one uptop. I am also unsure if it comes with fittings, but I bet it does.

Here is a shopping cart at Jab-Tech, with everything you need. I picked barbs because they are cheap. But I prefer compression fittings because of the almost guaranteed seal and the look of them. You do have to match your tubing size to your fitting size, and with barbs only the ID(inside diameter) matters.

You also need fans and hose clamps for the barbs, and the SWEET T-Virus reservoir. And maybe a angle fitting or two, but can be avoided by planning your route out. Remember, you want your reservoir before your pump in loop order.

EDIT: I tried to copy the link, but it wouldnt work that way. So I had to copy and paste

well he could always go for the 1/2" barbs and 7/16" ID tubing then he wont need clamps....but can still add them if you wanted to to be safe.
thats all i would change in that list
Or zip ties instead of clamps. I think it even looks better.
