I have a macbook(not by choice....eeeek...) and I use a windows 7 OS on my desktop.

I was unable to read off the NTFS that the external drive had formatted(on the mac os x leopard), So I brought it in to my work desktop and reformatted in exfat and put the files back on.

It seemed to work, But when I came back after the weekend Intially it showed my drive and had all the files present, though when I clicked there was nothing inside... I just said 43.9 gb of 240 gb were available.

I thought perhaps it was the computer, and I took out drive(obviously ejecting) and placed it into another windows 7 computer.

This time it did not recognize any files and asked me to format the drive.

This is very troubling as I have not backed up these files, they were the backup (as I just moved) and I may have lost crucial files...

Will it work on the Laptop? I do not have it with me, and frankly I can not stand Apple anyway.. NTFS is good, secure... why apple is so nose high pisses me off... I mean, the IPAD is a joke... Oh lets just get rid of Adobe... So nothing works for it... thats smart...

Any help would be greatly appreciated
