Really? That $250 would buy another monitor, really nice speakers, a second GPU, etc...

This is also a gaming PC build. For gaming, SSD's offer little to no benefit.

And no, I don't own one. I'm waiting for prices to come down because I don't want to sacrifice a more appropriate upgrade.

SSDs are good if you have the money and you have upgraded everything already (i.e. GPU / CPU / cooling / monitor)

whether or not they are worth it is up to the individual who bought it, but do note that it does speed things up and makes loading things from the OS much snappier.
