Newbie to Watercooling needs some advice - Page 2

Let me check on those, I haven't bought any of their fans yet... going in my next build which will be within a month

Also found what I have been looking for... http://www.overclock.net/water-cooli...e-vs-xspc.html It is the giant chart a few posts down, you can't miss it.

Edit: Yes the NF-P12 1300, but only if you don't want anything loud. Scythe GT's are the best at everything, but they are rare (at least over on the US side) and expensive. Yate Loons will probably move the most air, but they tend to be on the noisy side. Never owned one of their fans so I can only go on research with them.

Well...the Noctua and Scythe GTs are expensive over here in Singapore.

And like ths US, we ain't seen the Scythe GT for the past 6 months too...but stocks are arriving in Singapore soon although the price is *awesome*. The cost of 3 Scythe fans can buy me 2 more sticks of 4GB DDR3 RAMs or 1 Xigmatek CPU cooler

The GT's might be expensive but they are well worth it.

They run at 1850 rpm and are near silent and built well for radiators.

Its what I use.

I'm currently using the Lian Li PC-A70F which I've modded to fit a top 360 radiator and I plan to watercool my AMD Phenom II X6 1100T for now. However, I will also WC my GPU in the future once I'm settled into WC.

So here are my questions:

- I've ordered a XSPC RX 360 from my local WC store in Singapore... Will a XSPC RX 360 be able to handle an overclocked Phenom and a (non-OC) GTX 580?

Other rads that are available in SG include EK, Swifttech and HW Labs

I won't OC the GPU...only the processor will be OCed

- What are the fans that I should consider for the rad? I know that everyone uses Scythe GTs but they are too pricey for me so I'm looking for alternatives..

Here are some brands that may fit the bill:

1. Yate Loon (my local WC store sells them)

2. Aerocool Sharks

3. Scythe Ultra Kaze (Have to get these online from Hong Kong)

Thanks for helping everyone!

PS: Sorry if you can't understand my grammar..I do hope the grammar is correct!
RX360 will be fine, good rad

Good fans are Yate Loon Mids, Panaflo's, any 120x38mm fan with good static pressure, I used Ultra Kaze but be warned of their mounting position, if upside down they have a tendency to click!

Thanks folks.

But I'm a cheapo dude...I think it's the Yate Loons for me. I'm going to buy this model:

Yate Loon D12SM-12

1 new question from me folks...

If I wish to cool my CPU and GPU in 1 loop with my XSPC RX360 rad...

Can the rad handle it? Let's assume it's an OCed ii7-2600K to 4.4 GHz and a GTX 580 with no OC...

Also, do I need a 2nd pump in my loop to relieve the pressure on the MCP 355 pump?

Finally, if there 2 waterblocks in the loop, do we need a bigger reservoir capacity? I have an EK Res 150...

Thanks once again!
