Moar Overlock! LLC Question.

So I decided to try and crank up my Cpu a notch and see what I can get out of it. Right now I have my Core Voltage set at 1.37 and 46x multiplier.

Now I'm wondering if I should leave LLC at Level 5 or change it. With LLC at Level 5, according to CPU-Z, it runs at 1.280 when I'm at 46x, then it's at 1.368 when I'm idling at 16x.

I guess turning it off will leave my voltage always trying to run at the same power right? But would it ever spike for no reason and cause bad joojoo and explode? Haha.

No. By default (no LLC) Intel has specification called vdroop. So with it all the way off you might be at 1.28v idle, then under load it would drop to (just a guess) around 1.20v. I see no point of making LLC increase the voltage under load, so I would maybe try level 4 or 3. Ideally the voltage should stay consistent and not rise.

There are small "spikes" associated with enabling LLC, but there have been to my knowledge 0 reports of using LLC and causing harm. Some 775 boards didn't fare well with LLC though.

Well, right now my voltage is dropping as there is more load. Level 5 is highest drop, with Level 1 being a straight line on the graph, I assume 0 drop. Should I try it at level 3?

Right now I'm getting BSOD x0124 when I'm at 1.380v and 4.8Ghz.

EDIT: Now I'm running it at 1.385v @ 4.9Ghz. I have the LLC set at Level3, so according to CPU-Z, the voltage is at 1.354 during full load using LinX and hitting 67f max.

I can't seem to get it to hit 5.0Ghz without having my temps go to above 70f. Only way I got it to start up without getting a BSOD of some kind is when I had it at 1.380 with LLC at Level 1, but it ended up getting a tad above 1.400v during full load on CPU-Z.

Are these safe settings?
