Confused on which Folding Client to Use - Page 4

It's the GPU; you'll need to set the CPU to use one core less than max. But first we need to fix the GPU.

Well got driver version 11.5 installed and TPF is started at like 10 minute and I let it go for a few frames and not it's at 8 min. But interesting thing I saw when I looked at the logs:

03:16:07:Unit 00:Completed 4500001 out of 50000000 steps (9%).
03:20:00:Unit 00:Completed 5000000 out of 50000000 steps (10%).
03:24:27:Unit 00:Completed 5500000 out of 50000000 steps (11%).
03:28:54:Unit 00:Completed 6000000 out of 50000000 steps (12%).
03:33:15:Unit 00:Completed 6500000 out of 50000000 steps (13%).
03:37:36:Unit 00:Completed 7000000 out of 50000000 steps (14%).
03:41:49:Unit 00:Completed 7500000 out of 50000000 steps (15%).

That seems more like a 4 min TPF, right? So maybe it just needs time to calculate it correctly? I'm downloading 11.6 right now, I'm going to install it again and see what happens.

Okay, just updating.

I reinstalled 11.6 drivers and ran the client for half an hour.

These are the results I'm seeing now:

Though the TPF shown doesn't match with the logs again:

04:09:52:Unit 00:Completed 9500001 out of 50000000 steps (19%).
04:13:39:Unit 00:Completed 10000000 out of 50000000 steps (20%).
04:17:54:Unit 00:Completed 10500000 out of 50000000 steps (21%).
04:22:09:Unit 00:Completed 11000000 out of 50000000 steps (22%).
04:26:26:Unit 00:Completed 11500000 out of 50000000 steps (23%).
04:30:39:Unit 00:Completed 12000000 out of 50000000 steps (24%).
04:34:51:Unit 00:Completed 12500000 out of 50000000 steps (25%).
04:39:03:Unit 00:Completed 13000000 out of 50000000 steps (26%).

The logs show an average TPF of about 4-5 minutes. But every frame that finishes updates the stats a little each time, so I'll just wait and see what it finally holds at tomorrow morning, I suppose.

EDIT: For example, now at 27% done it shows an ETA of 7:41 and a TPF of 6:20. Both of these are significantly down from before, which is nice. But is this what you were expecting to see zodac?

That's about 6-6.2k PPD, which is about right for a 6850.

Sweet, I'm glad. That's some good PPD, I'll be able to qualify for the OCN F@H postbit much faster now, woot!

Also, you mentioned something about dropping a core for SMP?
Yeah, but I don't see a CPU slot in v7?

I'm running SMP for my CPU though.

Ew, right now I'm getting 565.8 PPD from my CPU via SMP...
