Thread Starter
Is everything in this build compatible? I am going to liquid cool this build but first I want to make sure I have the right parts and if you guys think its a good build.
Fixed
Case
Motherboard
2x Graphics Card
CPU
updated*Ram
updated*Powersupply
updated*2x HD Raid 0
Current Price: $1,838.84

Did I choose a nice power supply and ram? I also need to figure out if I'm getting a ssd or a hd or both. Any advice or recommendations is very helpful. price is not that big of a factor atm since my build is only at 2k and i have a 3k price limit and all I need to buy is the cooling parts and the ssd and hd which shouldnt take me even near 3k right?

Make it 8gb of 1600 mhz Ripjaw X ram (16 gb massive waste of money imho, if you don't plan on photoshopping huge images, video editing and virtual machining at the same time) and get a different power supply you should be fine with a quality 850 watt psu (others tell me if you can't but I'm extremely positive you can), either a Seasonic or Corsair HX are known to be excellent psus.
For the HDD people say nothing but good things about the Samsung F3 drives not to mention they are cheap. I don't know much about ssd models but get one for boot and HDD the rest, but with a budget like that I'd get an SSD for boot and basic storage then a storage HDD.
I can't help you with water cooling, im on air.

Thank you for the advice with the ram. I just updated it I think that's the right one. Also would a 850 watt be good enough with watercooling? Or should I go bigger?

You will actually be fine with a 750 watt with ease. Everything else looks pretty solid. When it comes to the hard drive I would get an SSD for a boot dive and then get two Samsung F3 1tbs and set them up in RAID 0 for fast storage.

[Edit]
Source for my power supply recommendation. This factors in adding extra voltage. If you leave it at stock voltage you can be fine with a 650 watt but if you adjust the voltage you would need a 750. Like I said this includes "headroom" and overclocking space with voltage tweaking.

I would normally be fine with suggesting a quality 850 for this but with water cooling, and if you can't get by with an 850 I'm pretty sure you'd be fine with a 1000 watt.

Unless OP is going to get some high RPM (3000+ 38mm fans) then watercooling isn't going to add much in terms of necessary power. A good 750 watt will run it with ease.
