(im australian) no newegg links wink.gif

It has a lightning on there for 600$ aus. Is that work it? Its got a much lower core on it then all the others for more of a price.

I dontreally know how to overclock. I fail at it. Tried to OC my 560ti and made the performance worse?

Advice? THanks guys.

I would chose the 3Gb versions. Palit, Gainward or Zotac

Id take the direct CU II or the reference if money is a top priority if not the 3gb phantom, they look sick imo.

Buying a 3GB card for 1080p is just stupid.

Get the ASUS DirectCU II GTX 580 or the MSI Lighting GTX 580. (The Lighting happens to be 3GB but has a slimmer profile than the ASUS) which was why I recommend it.

With those prices the ASUS DirectCU II is the best buy.

Lightning isn't worth $50 AUD more, no way in hell.

Look at the price set on the 1.5GB Matrix. They are out of their bloody minds.

I bought the 560ti about 2 months ago only to realise its not going to be enough for a smooth enough time for BF3. So I need to sell my 560ti to get this 580.

The ASUS DirectCU II doesn't seem like a bad card..but its a 3 slot card..huge in another words..and doing SLI out of reach for most boards.

I'm not even sure if the board I bought to replace my current one would support that card in SLI which is a ASUS Deluxe P67.

Wouldn't a stock clocked q6600 bottleneck though

plus your boad only has a pcie 1.1 slot a 580 would probably bottleneck it too
