(im australian) no newegg links wink.gif

It has a lightning on there for 600$ aus. Is that work it? Its got a much lower core on it then all the others for more of a price.

I dontreally know how to overclock. I fail at it. Tried to OC my 560ti and made the performance worse?

Advice? THanks guys.

Just noticed the Lighting they have looks like the older version..lol and the same price as the newer version on Newegg

CPU - i5-2500k @ 4.5 max
MOBO- Asus z68 pro
Sell my 560ti and get 580
Then probabaly a new PSU

I dont see the need to get anything else? maybe an ssd when they get cheaper.

plus your boad only has a pcie 1.1 slot a 580 would probably bottleneck it too
I would say yes the cpu would bottleneck unless he got it up to 3.0ghz+ then he might be good.

Then his power supply would need to be upgraded, I would say a 750watt to be on the safe side.

No need to get your panties in a wad, I was just commenting that the site you posted in your OP was that of the older version of the MSI Lighting from the looks of it.

Take a breather, it will be okay.

I would just go for the 3gb version of the 580, brand doesn't really matter for you since you probably won't OC.

Yes, 3gb is overkill for 1080p, but it will future proof for when (if) DX11 starts to get a better foothold in the graphics department.

EDIT: Your PSU should be alright provided you don't plan on doing SLI 580s in the near future.
