First 24 hours of pre-order = first 12 hours of early play.
Next 24 hours... = next 12 hours...
Etc, etc.

I'd guess it'll be some type of system similar, but at the point the order-per-hour tallies drop off, they'll drop the early access releases down as well.

Maybe? biggrin.gif

Can anyone tell me about the actual crafting of things in SWTOR?

On the beta weekend I didn't really get into it too much, but is there a clear cut advantage based on the class/role you pick?

Very much so. I've been playing enough to realize the stuff you craft is going to be better than the stuff you come across or are rewarded that isn't a raid, dungeon or large-scale quest.

In that sense, it would behoove you to craft things your character can then use. It's also important to understand which crew skills match up well with your desired craft. I, mistakenly, went synthweaving (armor/outfits) for Force users and took the scavenging and archaeology. I noticed, very early on thankfully, that scavenging wasn't compatible with synthweaving and I needed underworld trading for the mats involved in better recipes for synthweaving.

Thanks for explaining that- so trainers give out plans/schematics as you level it?

Stephen Reid says there's a FAQ that will be posted about this 'soon'. I wish I was surprised that once again, BioWare states something one way one week, and it's otherwise the next. tongue.gif I hope this means that there's a great deal of last minute changes/additions being put in, like the match to chest-piece being put back in and a customizable UI.

My question is, upon un-installation is it cool to run the downloaded executable and re install now? Or do we need to wait to do this until we get closer to the 15th?

Moot point as the servers are unresponsive at the moment.
