On a Different note...

I just looked at the NA server screen... and only saw 8 Light servers...

And maybe 10-12 HEAVY Servers and the rest standard...

I am quite happy still smile.gif

That's at primetime. The issue is everything off primetime is basically light. The servers can definitely handle more, and some servers are just barren. They launched with far too many servers when the goal should have been higher numbers per server. I know americans that will be paying to transfer to the Aussie servers because they're only putting 3 servers there, and only one of which will be PvP, so the expectation is it'll have a unrivaled population size.

Helm of Graush is in the upper 25% of server pops, hits heavy every night, but during the day it can be barren. The goal should have been Very Heavy for the high-pop and standard for the low-pop servers.

214 servers was insanity from the start, it should have been 140 at the most, if not 90-100.

if this many servers at prime time are already heavy...
why would we compact it to make it harder for those people to get in to play?
Canderous Ordo pretty much always seem to be a hoppin' server.

Graush is plenty populated for US primetimes. It's the other 10-14 hours a day that basically all the servers need help. Remember, there's "VERY HEAVY" above "HEAVY" and a ways to go from that to get to "FULL". The high pop servers not hitting Very Heavy isn't a good thing, but mergers doesn't mean make them hit full and have queues.

Try logging into say Rookworro. They rarely get more than 40 on either fleet at any time. Hell, you merge Roookworro onto any server that hits heavy on one day a week or more and the new server won't even notice.

When they doubled the capacity -- That's the difference.

And servers are always light in NON prime-time ~ The issue is that in other MMO's there are so many Server-Wide 'things' to do that you don't notice it...

Here, that's not the case but, may become the case in a month/two.

I know they doubled the capacity, they should have done it far sooner and not had as many servers, that's what I'm saying.

That would be impossible considering the fact that each server is virtually full, even when doubled.

The issue at hand is that the casual base is 70-80% of the total population so, you'll never actually reach the need for a queue anymore.

The overall population of the game has gone up substantially since release...

I'm not following, how are they "virtually" full after the population cap was doubled? I understand that the game's total population is only growing, however, there isn't that "busy" feeling on most servers, and even the busiest servers still have planets that are dead.

In December the server population caps were doubled to handle the current population.

Since then the game has grown @15% (That's current subs, including cancels)

So, the issue is realistically that the servers are FULL only 80% of your population is casual.

The overall game population has grown, it's just a casual base.

It doesn't really matter if they're dead or not, each server is actually filled JUST above capacity at the moment to the point of where if everyone logged on, there would be some serious issues on the back-end.

I actually went back and played last night. Finally lvl up to 26 and now i'm kinda bored again cuz it takes while to lvl up. I just wanna lvl up to 50 then see what happens. I'm considering unsubscribing this game because it's just so repeating and THEY never add new episodes or stories like other MMO does. Star Trek for example. Still i think it has room for more exploration and i started to think they really should had done Jedi Knight 3 in the first place it would be non stop fun multiplayer dueling and exploring and perhaps ship battles. Bah. I wish there was multiplayer ship battles. How disappointing.rolleyes.gif
