Pros:
It is a single player game you can play with or without other players... There are times where you will NEED other players to do a mission at level...
You don't need to spend many many hours every day to play the game...
Cut scenes... if you like the story in games... you'll like this game... you get to interact with your mission givers
Companions... a partner constantly is pretty nice... they might be like pets... but they interact with the story and with you like any other Bioware Companion character.

Cons:
the monthly sub... i mean it isn't free... so that's gotta be a con right?
there are some imbalances in PvP.. but nothing really game breaking... I do really well in PvP I think.
Some servers are much ligher than other servers... If you like PvE style servers go Canderous Ordo.
there are other players in the game... some of which can be classified as the standard MMO Troll.

Pros: 1. Single player class storyline
2. Multi Player quest grouping.
3. Overall, very fun leveling experience by yourself or with friends with end game content catering more for casuals and hardcore players with raiding level of diffucilty chaning in patch 1.2 Storymode for casuals and hardmode and nightmare mode for the non casual.

Cons: 1. 15$ monthly fee after first 30days of buying/playing the game
2. Some quests my frusterate you and may require you to grab a partner in game to help you.
3. getting some legacy perks my require you to play another toon to lvl 50.

First let me say I work full time and go to school full time. With that being said I make time for this because it's so enjoyable (two lvl 50's and two characters in their 30's)

Pro's:
1. Made for casual gamers - you're able to start and stop whenever you like based on the time you have to play the game. There's no rush that makes you feel like you can't stop at any point. If anything, the class story line makes you want to keep playing; and that....is def. a pro.
2. PVP - whether you are or are not a PVP fan, once you start getting mid to high levels (or any level after 10 really) you'll fall in love with PVP. I HATED pvp in any game before I started playing this, but once I started I PVP with all my characters all the time. Huttball is by far my most favorite PVP game. Some people dislike it and think it's overplayed, but I never get tired of it. I think they did PVP really well and it's something you'll have to experience.
3. Fun and easy. I'm a casual gamer and it was fun and somewhat easy to get to 50. I'm not saying that it's so easy it's a con, but the length in how long it takes to get to 50 is simple. For this reason: there are so many ways you can get experience to level up faster (PVP, space missions, quests, side quests, heroics, flashpoints). All of this, again, can be done at your own pace, but with so many options you won't get bored and will always find something to do that will get your character experience. Plus, you can choose whether or not to group up with other players on your planet. This helps if there's a quest too challenging or you're just looking for someone to chat with. (:

Inbetween pro/con:
1. Population. Do your homework and pick a server right for you. If you pick one that has a low population and you like PVP you'll be frustrated having to wait to get into matches.

Cons:
1. Above; I picked a bad server and I didn't want to start over so I have to just wait it out until cross server PVP starts up.
2. Know when to skip - If you keep getting wiped by a mob/boss and it's not for your class quest--just skip it. Realize when your time could be better spent on easier quests. If it's not obvious, not knowing that heroics or harder flashpoints can't be solod may become frustrating.
3. Multiple Characters - If you create multiple characters you won't be motivated to do side quests or planet's main quests as much because you've already done them. Sure, the class quest might be interesteing, but there are times with my 3rd and 4th character where I was dreading having to go back to tatooine or most other planets. As a result, I did my best just doing PVP (you could level your character by just doing PVP if you wanted to) and space missions. Funny, that brings me to another Pro: you can level how ever you'd like. If you want to log on and just do your daily space missions and some PVP you can do that.
*EDIT*: Like someone has already said: $15/month for a game you'll play 5/hr a week may be discouraging. When you buy the game you get the first month free which is plenty of time to decide if you like the game enough to sub.

i play about as much as you would, I have children and full time Job so theres not much room,

But I find the game so compelling at time that I stretch that time limitation lol

Especially now that I do the Operations "Raids" with my guild, alot of fun.


Main Pro's for this game and what set it apart is that they reward you for Grouping with others
Running quests with someone else gives you more exp as well as Social Points when you choose your responses during Quest Conversations (with the NPC's).
Near lvl 9/10 you receive a Companion, You will eventually gain more, but you can use them to fight for you, with you, Heal you, Tank for you etc etc.
Your COmpanions also handle all your crafting. Which will get easier because you can send up to 5 companions later on at a time to do various jobs.
They can even go and sell your Junk Items that you pick up from random kills =)
Instanced PVP starts at lvl 10 and Many Many people enjoy the PvP enough to lvl thorugh PvP and FlashPoints only,
FlashPoints are very awesome, chunks of story with some really nifty content, the first one you do, you will fall in love.
Lots of Option for Class, Maybe you want to be a healer, You can choose from 3 different types of healers, 2 Dif Tanks, and Tons of DPS Options, for Close Range Melee, Ranged with pistols, SHotgun, SNiper Rifle.
You dont have to do all the quests, just run your Class Quest's and Flash Points for gear and stuff and your good =

Flat out fun.


Cons are with current Bugs, a few of the End Game HM Content can get bugged which is annoying but nothign horrible.
Later in the game on my server atleast, i find less people willing to Group quest, realistically you dont need to group with someone, but I find it more fun.
Graphics are not top notch, but then again it would be hard to have 100 players on screen if it were top notch.
Some planets, are not as Fun as Others!

You know...The funny theme I see over and over again is the monthly fee...

I've personally, payed 60$ for games that I've only played maybe 10 hours...Black and White 2 comes to mind...Stonekeep, LOMM...I could go on all day.

You're paying 60$ for 30 free days and by the time you've spent 15 hours in the game, by gaming standards, you've already gained your money back so, a continued 15$, isn't really all that much.

I'm not saying that in the sense that, money is flowing from your pockets...I'm saying that in terms of entertainment...I mean, you literally pay more, now, to go see a 2 hour movie.

So, in terms of the entertainment the game actually provides, 15$ isn't that much...

Especially once 1.2 is released.

Personally, were I about to BUY the game, I'd wait a week and see what happens with 1.2 because Rift is also releasing a MAJOR update very soon -- So it might be best to weigh your options and make a final decision after you see what both have to offer.

WoW also has that Panda crap but, you have to pay for each expansions individually so, good luck with just your 60$...

Again; when you discuss what the game has to offer, you really need to put that entertainment/time into perspective.

Not many people know that Warhammer World, is an almost perfect copy of the Warhammer World (story and characters from the original TableTop game).

And now they ripping off Kung Fu Panda.,,

I swear I will shoot someone if I see Jack Black doa WOW Commercial...
Hes not lame enough yet to need that.

I'm a HUGE Warhammer nerd...I have 4/5 entire armies...Painted them all myself...Custom tanks and all the like.

I hate it when people rip off content, especially the Tyranids and just pass it off as their own crap...Of course, the community doesn't know this and you get the "OMG that's so original" or "OMG that's AMAZING"...When it's literally a direct copy a Hive Tyrant...Seriously? Ravener Alpha, too.

Necrons too ~ Necrons are ripped off more than anything...Bleh.

Vampire Counts in basic WH too are so ripped off, it's incredible...

Anywhoo...

Ended up tanking a normal a Normal KP last night because I happened to be in Fleet -- Wasn't a bad experience at all...Granted the only drop I actually need is from Ravager -- Overall, it was good times.

It's SO MUCH EASIER than HM -- I actually found it to really be relaxing...Murderbots still suck...Oh man, the Murderbots, suck.

Sadly, the only hard part of KP normal and hard mode is the trash xD

Normally, our Ops kills the droid that "summons" the Murderbots fast enough that only one comes out. So, I have on occasion had fun messing with our healers and burned down the murderbot when it was in the middle of the melee to cause some panic. With only one up and everything else CC'ed, I know it won't wipe the raid. My RL best friend is one of our healers. Maybe that’s why I do those kinds of things.

Ugh ~ The damned technicians too...Someone ALWAYS AE's in a normal...It makes me sadface...Genuinely.
