Should I Pull the Trigger on the Filco Ninja 2? - Page 5

As an owner of said keyboard I have no problem recommending it. However, one thing to consider is that $160 is a little pricey. For not much more you could go Topre and enjoy bragging rights associated with the king of keyboards.

I love my ninja. I got a tenkeyless version instead because they're cooler. I figured if I really need a numpad I can always buy one seperate.

You really think it is better than Chery MX and how so? I do enjoy the mechanical keyboard I have and wonder what benefits the Topre would have. Also, a link? Thanks.

Topre switches definitely have a different feel to them than any Cherry MX switch I have tried. I have the Realforce and HHKB and enjoy them both.

As far as being better..thats more subjective then anything else. I'm not going to stop using my cherry mx boards now that I have a topre board but like that I have options.

Would love to get my hands on a Model M SSK right now to try... sourcing a good condition one is proving harder than I thought.

The runup on eBay on them is crazy.... Ripster love your collection.

Kings don't come cheap.

Whereas Olivettis are a dime a dozen.

As usual you don't know the difference between high price and high quality.

So, .... I have heard alot about Model M keyboards as well. I take it the current models are not the preferred ones? And where is the best place to get one? I assume for used ebay and not sure on the best place to get the modern versions, but I am sure I dig a little on that one. But, whatever the case I would want the best keyboard so long as price is reasonable. And while I know that is subjective I am practical about most of my purchases.
