have u got any of those power adapter maybe one of your 8 or 6 pins is dead.

Make sure you have both adapters plugged in. I know some people when it's their first time assume they need only one. You need both in order for it to work.

Any card should be fine...

To answer your own question:

All PCI-e 2.0 compliant video cards will work with your motherboard.

Your logic in your original post is wrong. I would suggest you to think about the reasoning behind ruling out one type of GTX570 over another...

If not, then be prepared to accept this type of "problem" in future builds.
