It's not a scam if he gets the chip performing at those speeds in every noobs system that buys it.

Yea guys and this is with HT ON. Read the full description. He is just selling a binned chip. I remember someone on here doing the very same thing, although he didnt call it supercharged 3900k, but whatever. It is up for bid anyways so whatever he gets, he gets. I will be curious to see if he gets more than what a 970 or 980 is worth since it clearly is advertised as being better.

It is a scam since he's advertising a full 3 year manufacturer warranty with the chip.

Intel clearly states that overclocking voids warranty, hence, that guy is guilty of scamming the unwary into believing his 3900k extreme, I mean OC'd 2600k is covered under warranty.

Did anyone notice what he said here:
Quote:
"Most people are completely unaware that increasing the CPU core count BEYOND 4 -- to 6 or even 8, WILL NOT RESULT IN EVEN 1 FRAME-PER-SECOND OF IMPROVEMENT REGARDLESS of how high the chip is overclocked - NO EXCEPTIONS. High Multithreaded Quad-Core speeds on contemporary Intel CPUs are THE most important factors for MAXING out your 'frames-per-second' in your games. Don't become another 990X / 980X 'gaming sucker'. Bottom line - if you're looking for the absolute FASTEST Core i7 Gaming Processor for your rig, Socket1155 is the platform, and THIS is your chip."

"High Multithreaded Quad-Core speeds on contemporary Intel CPUs are THE most important factors for MAXING out your 'frames-per-second' in your games" He obviously has no idea what he's talking about >.>

It's sad that he is allowed to market as a 3600k though. Should be banned from eBay and sued to bits by intel. C'mon intel!

Just a dumbass trying to make a quick buck off some poor guy who falls for it...

He should be sued for telling people they still get warranty with overclock.

Actually, I just noticed he posted a CPU-Z screenshot with the name of the processor as a "SUPERCHARGED 3900X Extreme"

Gotta give him some points for going as far as that.

Yeah I just read the advert lol everyone who knows enough about computers to overclock like that, wouldn't be selling a CPU like that at that extremely low price and they would know that unless you are using an intergrated graphics card the CPU doesn't have much to do with the FPS of a game.
