Probably they patent everything else that was invented before they started to use it.

LOL, I can't help but laugh at the Apple hate. Lets face it, this little thing is sleek and will look great in your entertainment center. It serves its purpose.

For Viridian - replace nVidia with Apple in your sig quote, hater.

For those talking about mac assuming you have FiOS or T1 in your home, this product isn't meant to appeal to Grandma and Grandpa who are pissed they gave up the power rotary antenna on their top of the TV, Apple products are designed to appeal to your techie mainstream consumer. As far as markets go, you gotta realize OCN is the goth community of the world. Considered outcasts, using computers for all the wrong reasons. Apple is the prep and jock community, in the limelight, hip, and popular.

And because its necessary every time you weigh in on an Apple thread, no, I'm not an Apple fanboy, I'm simply not ignorant like some posters

Hahahahahaha!!

Sorry mate, but Nvidia aren't overpriced patent trolls. I'll make no secret of the fact that I think Apple are a disgusting and questionable company who flaunt the law and fiddle the system. 15 years, going strong and I still despise the company and their products.

Which wouldn't be so bad if every media outlet in the world wasn't falling over each other to jump into bed with Apple. Giving their products unworthy praise and commendations.

Apple are indeed the "hip" and "must have" products, as seen by people who don't know what they're talking about. It's VERY frustrating to have a superior product in my hand and yet no-one will recognise that. Speak to 90% of iPhone owners and they'll swear blank their phone is the bees knees. Yet there are an obscene amount of much better WP7 and Android products on the market, for less, that do more.

A healthy dose of Apple disdain shows you're healthy in the head.

Apple is quite clueless. If your HDD fails, which is common with their drives, how are they going to format or repair?

Nope.

I highly despise this laptop without a dedicated DVD when problems emerge. I lost a HDD and couldn't format and do a clean install.

New macs automatically download lion from the internet if the hard drive is formatted or replaced.

I award you no points.

HDD fails; new HDD not under the proper file format.

GG.

What if the user is without internet? Granted it's not going to happen often in the present where someone can't get a connection, but that is a bit limiting.
