Problems with the G9x?

Thread Starter
I am a palm grip user but I tried out the G9x at a store and it felt extremely comfortable, despite having to use claw grip. Although, I cannot say for sure since I have not tried gaming with it.

I am still debating whether to get this mouse or the Mionix Naos 3200 (The G500 was horrible, felt so bad in my hand) so I wanted to know some flaws this mouse has. Does it have any type of acceleration? Also, is it true that your hand starts to hurt after using it for a while?

you know the G9x comes with multiple grips as well, right? perhaps trying both might help eliminate any hand pain... which I have not heard about with this mouse.

They're two totally different mice. G9x is a claw grip mouse that is relatively compact in size where as the Naos 3200/5000 was meant for palm grim. It's about the size of a logitech 518 or death adder. I actually loved the quality and finish of the Naos 5000 and if I didn't have such small hands I would have kept it.

The claw grip/percission grip is the one without the thumb rest and rough texture.

I have been trying the G9x for about a month of heavy gaming and I have big hands and long fingers.

I cant stand the wide grip and the precision grip is nice but actually causes my hands to sweat a massive amount. I'm trying to get rid of mine, I don't really recommend it unless your hands are medium-small.

I think the Naos 5000 should be able to be clawed quite fine, I might bite on it, and I made a thread with some G9x thoughts earlier today.

If you already tried the G9x and liked go for it

I have average sized hands and hated the Naos 5000. I won't even discuss the sensor. I hated the design. Its very comfortable but there are several things that just make it funky.

1. Their is a rubber texture overlay on the mouse wheel. When you move your finger over to the scroll wheel quickly, the bottom of your fingertip will catch the 'teeth' on the sides of the texture. Its irritating AND feels like the texture will eventually peel off.

2. The mouse feels great when palm gripping. However, when trying to pinch grip the sides to lift the mouse, its very smooth and hard to do. It grated on my nerves pretty bad because even when you apply alot of pressure to lift the mouse, it still feels like its slipping.

3. The mouse gets extremely dirty looking as well. Its not much of a negative but it is there. I have been using the G9x for much longer and never feel the need to clean it off because it still looks good.
