EK also makes really good blocks, but they're a pain to install because of the standoff system that they use.
Cause they tend to be the best cooling for nvidia based products.

dye deal and in general you should read it if you are new to water cooling.

i wouldn't buy any nickel based product unless they are done with there new system for nickel plating. Plus they are raising the prices on there products which are nickel plated.

ok, tbh im not to bothered about the price increase but i will check and see if any problems happen with the new nickel plating to the older method (hopefully not)....if not ill just have to go with copper
thanks for the replies guys......but i think i will just have to wait and see what happens with the new cards and waterblocks as we cant really know whats going to happen so i may go air on the GPU for a little while and then watercool once any bugs in the cards or whatever are fixed

Proof? Based off of this: http://skinneelabs.com/gtx480-full-c...ock-roundup/5/
both the ek and the aqua computer blocks outperform the koolance (AC outperforms on both gpu and vrm)

Also, the EK block listed in the comparison is the first version. They released a 2nd version for the 580 that has better cooling on the gpu itself (not that this design will necessarily be used on future blocks), but if they do keep the design, that would be something to consider.

Coming from somebody that just did their first block installation ( EVGA GTX 580, Koolance block, EVGA backplate and single slot bracket ) it was WAY easier than I expected and unless you are not careful at all I can't see anywhere in the process that you would risk breaking the card. EVGA I know does not void warranty by putting an aftermarket block on it. You just have to put the air cooler back on if you ever do RMA it.
