i7 upgrade, what do you think??

Well there was a huge problem with my order here in mexico so for the troule the guys at the store offered me to upgrade my 2500k for a 2600k for free...

so my current build is:

1x INTEL CORE i7-2600k 3.4GHz SOCKET LGA 1155 EN CAJA

4x KINGSTON HYPERX BLU 2 GB DDR3-1600 KHX1600C9AD3B1/2G

1x COOLER MASTER CM 690 II ADVANCED RC-692-KKN2

1x GIGABYTE GA-Z68MX-UD2H-B3 SOCKET LGA 1155

1x Kingston SSD A-DATA 64GB SATAII S596

1x ENCORE WIRELESS PCI 300MBPS ENLWI-NX2

1x LOGITECH G9x

1x GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 570 (Fermi) 1.2GB GDDR5 PCI Ex

1x SAMSUNG dvd burner.

1x COOLER MASTER SILENT PRO M850W 850W 20+4 pin

Seems to me like its ok... but i was told my MOBO wasent as good as my other components, is this true? how would a better motheroard (full atx version of the same board) change my performance?

i think my current MOBO has 4 vrm while the other one has 8 vrm and integrated graphic support wich mine dosent have. (correct me if im wrong)

anyone know how to make mousepads the ones i find here in mexico are too small for my liking.

i am not an overclokcer but since im getting such a good cpu i might try and overclock once i can afford a cooler and some extra fans for my case. (monterrey = stupidly hot ATM)

i would be using a viewsonic 27" LED monitor for display.... 1920x1080p

I'm going to agree that the mobo is not up to par with the rest of your components. I needto look up the mobo still before confirming however.

Edit: The mobo is decent, but if you're looking to overclock, it's not going to be great

ok so im probably good since im completely new to overclocking i don't think i will push my processor above 4.5...

do i need anything else to build mi computer?

do i need thermal paste? or does the processor come with pre-applied thermal?

what fan layout would you recomend with my case? i cant seem to find a 1155 Heatsink here in mexico yet, so maybe if i use all my fan slots i get some decent cooling out of my case (11 fans total)

im upgrading from my 5 year old dell inspiron laptop with burnt out video card.... CANT WAIT!!!

Unless you buy aftermarket heatsink, you'll need paste. But it looks like you have it all. 11 fans is overkill but make sure you have efficient exhaust and not all just blowing around hot air. Also heatsinks have brackets for different cpu slots. There really isn't a specific slotted heatsink... Your cpu comes with one too.

Is the COOLER MASTER V8 heatsink a good buy for around 80 bucks?? (mexico price is usually from 50 to 100% more) this is the only heatsink ive found so far.

is the bracket for 1156 and 1155 the same? is this thing even compatible with my proocessor?

so if i dont get the heatsink thermal paste is a must??

thanks for the fast reply guys.

You should buy a nocuta for $90

Basially the best Heatsink around. Universal bracket too.

If you don't buy a heatsink, the stock heatsink comes with pre-applied paste.

Better heatsink = more overlocking and better cooling obviously
