[TCR] Apple patents flat keyless keyboard - Page 8

I got it! I am patenting a flat surface as the medium on which to project/display an input device, regardless of the projection/display source and/or the type of flat surface. Therefore, Apple will have to pay me every time they decide to cite their patent or try to use a flat surface for input!

Bam!

Oh and, you read it here first, so buzz off all of you copycats!

99% of patents companies file for are simply for protection from lawsuits. Not for going after other people. If they don't patent it, someone else will and that leaves them open to being sued. Apple has only sued ONCE so far? Meanwhile Nokia and Kodak are patent trolling left and right...

One patent?

What?

Have you seen the list they are trying to use against HTC?

So would this mean that Apple would sue every manufacturer that has that pop up keyboard (since it's a keyless keyboard)on any device?
i find it kinda useless...imagine typing all day long with ur finger tips hitting a piece of glass constantly without ANY shock absorption..this is going to unbearable for many. its going to start hurting our fingertips, will slow down how we type, and in the end, slow the world down...i know its far fetched but it makes sense

To be honest....someone needs to patent troll Apple....like, that company that releases a useless electronic, they should patent it, so that when apple makes it popular, they can just get sued XD

You mean like all the concepts they've had in countless numbers of movies and tv shows over the years??? How's that a patent?

Filing a patent =/ suing. Their variation is slightly different. They have no more right over other companies' flat keyless keyboards than anyone else does over their version. They're not patenting the keyboard... Their version of it is simply being protected in case someone else tries to sue THEM.

Apple is just maneuvering through a flawed system, just as gigantic corporations evade taxes with loopholes. Until the system is reformed, other companies such as Microsoft, Google etc will continue to exploit it.

But hey, this is OCN and blind Apple hate is the cool thing to do rather than use your brain cells right?
Just because they CAN do it doesn't mean they should be able to avoid criticism for doing it.

I can't wait till the patents are released, I for one see my self typing better on a flat surface with haptic feedback.

And, of course a glass keyboard would be sexy,, Yes?
