Isn't this just a haptic touchscreen that's gimped as a mere keyboard? Why is this patented again?

Anyone heard of a touch screen keyboard? Someone else had already designed the "raised touchscreen" part too.

God Apple is such horse... poo...

this so much this +1. Its nice to meet someone who sees apple from a business perspective rather than a consumer perspective.

I could have sworn that I heard that Razer is working on a keyboard that is very similar to something like this. Anyway, how did Apple patent something that has been invented and utilized already by different companies? Anyone answer that one yet? Or is Apple using a different technology to make this happen?

I'll stick to the good ol' ps2 mechanical thanks! These things are nigh indestructible!

EDIT: My favorite part of the above clip is the frowny face notation at the top!

I don't know when but I know Apple lawyers will one day sue the estate of Gene Roddenberry for patent infringement.

This just emphasizes how screwed up every part of our government is. I love how Apple is able to patent something that's already been invented and used years ago by someone else. Apple just has to patent one thing after another that doesn't even belong to them.
