New Wireless Router

Thread Starter
Hey all,

I am looking to buy a new wireless router for a coworker. He is currently looking at these three models:

linksys e4200
netgear n750 (4000)
asus rt-n56u

His budget is $125-$175; which of these would you suggest, or would you suggest another model? He has ~15 devices that he connects to the router regularly (mostly B/G, but some wireless N).

Thanks!

All of those are good routers, top of consumer routers. I guess pick the brand he likes and/or interface? Maybe also check to see if they're compatible with open-source firmware like tomato or dd-wrt if he wants to use those over the manufacturer's

I've been using netgear 3700, basically the n750 previous iteration and it's been working great for me. I don't think you can go wrong with Cisco or Asus tho.

I'd say the Linksys e4200.
