CMOS error

Hello I am new here but I am visiting this site for a long time. But now I have a question that I would like to ask you: What is CMOS Checksum Error? Because when I put ACC on Auto I get this error and when I enter the BIOS it says ACC is disabled.

Welcome to OCN!

Generally you would only want to use (Advanced Core Calibration) ACC if you are trying to unlock that 4th core. Otherwise set it do Disabled. If you are going to try to unlock the 4th core use a manual setting to enable the 4th core and possibly provide a little extra voltage. Your Checksum Error is likely related to the instability of the 4th core without extra voltage or perhaps the cmos battery is dead.

Yes I want to unlock the 4th core. And the motherboard is new so the battery cant be low. So should I put ACC on Per core and bump up the cpu voltage?

Hmm, nothing seems to work. Bumped the Vcore up, disabled Boot failure guard, ACC on auto or on per core. Still get the CMOS Checksum error. What seems to be the problem? The CPU or the motherboard?

You could just have an unstable core that won't unlock. Wouldn't be the first nor the last
