As far as how much, the only way I can really think of comparing it would be the negative accel on the 3.0 - if you've ever used the 3.0 and hit the threshold for it, the mouse moves much slower than you are moving the mouse, it's very noticeable. While the Spawn wasn't as bad as the 3.0, the negative accel was very noticeable. I don't have any way to measure exactly how fast I was moving the mouse, but it wasn't much faster than it takes me to make my 3.0 wig out completely - so probably in the 2m/s area. I'm above the perfect control speed of the 3.0 with pretty much every other swipe, so having negative accel happen this close to my normal speed is a complete deal breaker.
I will say this, though - in my time playing counterstrike, which has been about 9 years now, I've only met 3-4 people who use a sensitivity close to or below mine. So, this probably won't affect the vast majority of people. If you aren't playing at a very low sens, the 3090 will probably be amazing for you. For guys like me, the DA and 518 are the only real options (the avago 9500 mice will work on hard surfaces too, but the problem is a lack of good hard pads at a size that will accommodate the very low sens I play at)
I also have to agree with derp about not just getting used to something that isn't what he wants. I've been through at least 20 different kinds of mice looking for one that has everything I want, and won't stop until I find it. There's absolutely no reason to jump on his case simply because you don't agree with that philosophy - just go about your business and let him find what he wants. His chase has lead to quite a few reviews that have saved me money.Edited by Themanbeast - 8/6/11 at 5:16pm
