Because sometimes it more relaxing to sit on my couch with a controller and play on a big flatscreen then it is to play on my computer. Also more of my friends in real life play Xbox, than they play computer games

The best reason i could think of someone to keep it is to show how much better p.c. gaming is. I was a console gamer for a long time ps3, xbox. Then when i made the latest computer, i started playing games with xbox controller. Last week a i stepped up to a r.a.t.7. and gaming mini key board thing. Now i found when trying to use the xbox controller it straight up sucks. the movement is slow and i generl cant stand it now.Further more the graphics on my pc blow away the other system.

Seriously, my PS3 is on my Xbox. I have NEVER played my PS3. I ONLY just it to stream movies to my TV.

I don't really game that much but when I do I strongly prefer the Xbox over the PS3. It's where all my friends are and I really do believe that it was better games.

If you can't think of any reasons to keep it then don't, get some money for it although it probably won't be much. Most people have one.

And the PS3 has a few great exclusives as well.

I have many multiplatform games for my 360 as I didn't own a gaming pc at that point in time, or one adequate enough to meet my standards, I've repurchased most of those games for my new pc, luckily, I got a majority of them incredibly cheap through Steam sales.

PS3 Netflix -

Doesn't require any type of PS+ subscription.
1080p
5.1 Digital Audio
Slow responding menu since Sony isn't helping Netflix with the app, has been drastically improved in the past few months.
Extremely quiet console, at least my slim is.

360 Netflix -

Requires a Gold account
720p
Stereo audio
Very fast menu
Very loud console

Granted, this isn't a hardware limitation of either console, it's just a marketing scheme, they'll both eventually have the same features.

Honestly if you think the xbox 360 is limited to 720p and stereo audio then you are just plain ignorant. Both the PS3 and Xbox 360 UPSCALE most games to a maximum 1080p. The Xbox 360 has always been able to display 1080p, even with red, green and blue component cables (games only). Having stereo audio is completely up to the game producers, I know for a fact that all the Halo games had 5.1 surround sound.

Also obviously your slim is gunna be quieter than the original 360. I'm sure the xbox slim is also much quieter too. My PS3 fat is pretty loud too.

Oh and no, you do not need to purchase a gold account on the xbox, you can get along just fine playing single player.

Before you go flaming me, when I game on console I game on PS3 primarily and I haven't bought a game for my 360 for many months. I do enjoy free ONLINE MULTIPLAYER on my PS3. But everything you said about the 360 is simply ignorant and wrong. I mean "very fast menu"?? as if the PS3 menu is not fast enough in some area?
