To buy or not to buy?

I want to get bigger SSD and I have an opportunity to buy brand new Vertex 2 240gb for $280. Is that a good deal? Are there any known problems with that drive?

OCZ warranty is based of the original purchaser with receipt. If he/she will helps with RMA if need be, maybe it's a good buy then.

Also Memoryexpress has some good sales on SSDs currently.

ps, how's it going buddy?

Thats a nice deal there. I would go for it.

As usual OCZ SSD's are mixed in reviews. It should perform fine. As they say, among 10 bad reviews, is usually 1,000 satisfied customers.

Crap I didn't know about the warranty
I guess I'll pass. Too much pain to deal with some stranger if I need to RMA or something.

MemEx doesn't have anything of that size for ~$300.

I don't like dealing with RAID and I don't have enough HDD bays.

if i were you, and i needed more storage, id just buy some caviar blacks or samsung f3s. ssds are great for boot drives and a few games, but they are not practical for storage. just get some hdds <_<

also, you dont necessarily need hdd bays. you could fasten drives anywhere, whether it's with 3m velcro or in your 5 1/2 bay
