Like this for the keycaps?

They last longer, they give a better tactile feedback and they reduce typing fatigue.

For me it's all about the typing because I am wanting to be a web programmer so I chose the cherry blue key switches which provide the tactile bump and the click.

If you would like to know more about them the best way is to visit this thread. There is a huge amount of info there.
HERE

Sorry double post

Yeah switching to a Mechanical keyboard, imo, make typing more enjoyable.
I have a Black Widow, which isn't the most uber board out there, but it's great to type on.
However it has blue MX switches which are.. idk.. i want to try other type of switches now.. maybe Browns.. or even Blacks.. It takes more force to type on Blues for me...
but yeah...
It's a huge difference, well for me... from typing from a G11 and those kinds of boards...and after the "back lit" phase wears off of some ppl. They'd want the simplicity of a not back lit/non "extra" crap that is associated with those kinds of keyboard.
How ppl grow old of cold Cathodes and such..
haha.. /rant..

I'm also looking for some keycaps for my filco ninja. Wanted to buy the white pbt engraved set, what would be the difference between engraved abs vs pbt?
i just ordered a set of 37 white pbt from ebay, albiet a bit expensive, but PBT is the superior material in terms of durability (takes longer to shine).

I know that they fit on Costar-made keyboards, such as the Filco, Das, Steelseries, Rosewill and the like. Not sure about compatibility between those and the Blackwidow though.

Just ordered my fav. color combo (black and white) and put my twist on it, will post pics when I get it. If this keyboard turns out to be great quality then I see this company going far.

This is Weyman from WASD Keyboards. I saw you guys had a nice thread going on here and I thought it was about time I came by to answer some questions without everyone needing to search through other forums.

For starters, I took a few pics of smash_mouth01's keyboard before packing it up. It's a great looking keyboard! You can view the images here: http://www.wasdkeyboards.com/index.p...ry/album/view/

And just to confirm a few things:
1. Keys are made of ABS
2. Etched means laser etched/engraved. Again, see new pics in gallery to see macro shots of the etching.
3. Sorry, no tenkeyless or backlit. If things go well, start development for them next year and hopefully get them out by end of next year.
4. Colored etching will be available in 1-2 months. It's still in the works.

Feel free to post to this thread if you have any questions. Thank you for the interest and support from everyone!
Hey Weyman, hows it going?

I have to say that keyboard looks fantastic, I can't wait to get my hands on it. Also the work done so quickly .

I hope you stick around the OCN. Oh by the way, on behalf of OCN welcome.

Customizable pre-ordering is always a welcome option! I may have to convince my wife to let me pick up one of these.

Welcome to the forum, Weyman! I'm going to send you a PM about getting you a Hardware Vendor tag.

Yeah the caps are going to look like that because they are ABS as well. Maybe he could get PBT in the future.
