CoolerMaster Turbine Master Mach 1.8

Thread Starter
Hey, just wondering if anyone has experience with the Turbine Master Mach 1.8's?
Their specs on paper are:
1800RPM/80.3 CFM/1.96 mmH20/30.5 dBA

I'm going to be using a fan controller so the decibels are hopefully going to be around 21.1 dBA most of the time (1200RPM version dBA)

Should I go with these or pay another $8-10ea extra for some Noctua's?
Thanks

I have only seen one review for that type of fan, so I can't say if it is good or bad, I would take the fan specs with a pinch of salt, Coolermaster do exaggerate there fans stats but I could be wrong.

What are you using the fan(s) for? Is it going to be a intake/outake fan? Or is it for your heatsink?

Noctua fans are fine for case fans but they do lack a bit of static pressure which means they are poor preformance on heatsinks. They will do the job unless you want to overclock.

I want to either:
Replace stock top 200mm exhaust fan with 2 120mm's (stock is 76CFM at 24dBA)
or put 2 on the side of the case for intake.
Also, I really think I should replace the rear exhaust because it is 27 dBA and only 46CFM.

So 3x Mach 1.8's or 3x Noctua's for case fans, not interested in replacing the NH-D14 fans at this stage.

I have decided to go with 2 NF-P12's for side intake and the faster Mach 1.8 for rear exhaust.

Let us know how it goes with the Turbine fan.

Can't find any R4's on PCCaseGear (I'm Australian) and the Loon's are cheap but they don't really push enough air for the noise it makes IMO.
Thanks though

EDIT: Also, looking for fans with no LEDs unless they are white (matches 600T SE)

Well, if you want the cheapest exhaust you can get, go with removing your rear grill and doing without a rear exhaust fan altogether. With the grill gone, the air will find its own way out. See item 2 in my sig.
