This is the SSD i have...
http://www.gskill.com/products.php?index=286

Now i did a firmware update for it and have had this ssd for awhile now since last year around november...

This is what it comes up with in crystal disk mark

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
CrystalDiskMark 3.0.1 x64 (C) 2007-2010 hiyohiyo
Crystal Dew World : http://crystalmark.info/
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
* MB/s = 1,000,000 byte/s [SATA/300 = 300,000,000 byte/s]

Sequential Read : 154.954 MB/s
Sequential Write : 64.683 MB/s
Random Read 512KB : 153.178 MB/s
Random Write 512KB : 63.229 MB/s
Random Read 4KB (QD=1) : 18.323 MB/s [ 4473.3 IOPS]
Random Write 4KB (QD=1) : 61.379 MB/s [ 14985.1 IOPS]
Random Read 4KB (QD=32) : 20.635 MB/s [ 5037.8 IOPS]
Random Write 4KB (QD=32) : 64.047 MB/s [ 15636.4 IOPS]

Test : 1000 MB [C: 73.7% (41.1/55.8 GB)] (x1)
Date : 2011/07/26 19:38:17
OS : Windows 7 Ultimate Edition SP1 [6.1 Build 7601] (x64)

That seems VERY low for read and write speeds
even opening files for 4k...

Should i do a clean sweep of the drive ...as instructed under the gskill forum to reset it to factory settings
http://www.gskill.us/forum/showthread.php?t=6829

Would i see significant gains from doing this clean sweep (have yet to do so since i have bought the ssd..)
