I dont know how to set up a GPU loop. Can I get some help?

Hey Guys,

Im having 50/50 thoughts on whether I should have a watercooling setup, mainly because I dont know the full cost of the loop Im looking for.

I dont understand all the 'fittings and bits' work. Like what sizes etc so I was hoping to get a water cooling kit but I cant find one with a GPU set up as well.

Im in Ireland (Products from the UK) and Im looking for the cheapest possible loop consisting of a GPU and CPU block (and RAM if its not too much more). Can I get some advice and help regarding what fittings to use etc.
Emphasis on the 'Cheapest Possible'

Thanks in advance biggrin.gif

simply put, AFAIK there's no kit with a gpu block inside. and those bits and fittings are to be attached to blocks, rads, res and the like.they are the things that has a thread on one end to attach them to your block,rad,res,etc..then the other end to your tubings and sealed with a clamp.got it?

Hi there,

I'm pretty new to watercooling myself but I'll still share my experience and thoughts anyway...

A WC loop for the processor alone will cost about 600-700 Singapore Dollars (I live in Singapore and the cost is from parts bought from my local WC store).

I was told to get ID 1/2", OD 3/4" for my tubing.

Every processor block, GPU block, pump, pump top and reservoir has their thread dimension. If I remember correctly, most parts use the G1/4 thread. So all you need to do is to buy compression-fitting cim G1/4 adapters to connect your tubings to the loop components.

For example: EK Supreme HF CPU waterblock -> Inlet and Outlet is based on a G1/4 thread so to fit my WC tube,

I need to buy an adapter/compression fitting where 1 end of the fitting is G1/4 thread (to fit the CPU block) and the other end is a compression fitting for 1/2" ID, 3/4" OD tubing.

Now about these adapter/compression fittings, these come in straight, 90-degree rotary and 45-degree rotary designs. The angled rotary designs are useful in managing your tube so as to avoid kinking.

Hope all these helps!

I'm sure the more experienced users will be able to guide you better!
