Did this really need explaining? I thought it was a given.

Well that's the way it is, I'm afraid.

Consolololes have a huge hardware limitation, and I'm so glad they didn't mince their words in explaining why consolololes lacked 64 player support.

More isn't better. CSS and COD4 can be better shooters than BC2 is IMO and the maps are smaller and there are less players. Sometimes more players causes chaos and just isn't fun. Concentrated gameplay is better

Which is exactly why you'd want a huge conquest map when playing with loads of players. Chaos in BFBC2 is 32 players on a tiny rush map, which usually isn't fun at all.

Conquest would simply NOT WORK with the amount of players in COD4 or the vast majority of CSS servers. More players does indeed equal more fun, but only as long as the map can support them properly.

Yes but huge maps break the concentration of the game unless your team is very well organized, which rarely happens.

You can't just add more all the time. You couldn't make huge maps for TF2 and make them play as well as the smaller maps. It's an arena FPS and that's the point. Small maps, concentrated gameplay is where it's at. To increase amount of players and map size just breaks the flow of the game.

Not saying that large maps are always bad. They work well with the BF series. Just that it's opinion which is better. Small or big.

What kind of logic is that? PC's are obviously more powerful, but both platforms provide a good gaming experience. At the end of the day that's all that matters.

So you are pretty much saying pc gamers are pirates then, because the only way I can think of playing a game on a pc without purchasing it is pirating it which is not smart but selfish. While on consoles games sales can be hurt by renting, borrowing, piracy and used game sales.

Consoles are alot more popular because consoles are easier. Pop in a game and play. Done. No driver updates, no installing hardware, etc. etc. etc...not everyone wants to learn the ins and outs of a PC just to play games.

Even if Devs did that R. Smith, PC gaming would still be a niche market.
