why are you apologizing to console players? Don't feel guilty for stating the obvious. Anyway, if they're on this forum they probably already are well aware of how outdated consoles are technologically.

sure, 500 players could be possible too if you simplify the game enough; but it wouldn't be the same game.

Good, proves that PC is 10x better than consoles, what did the console kids expect, that their 6 year old hardware can keep up with 2011? And I've played FPS on a console before, don't get me started with using a controller, just horrible.

I doubt any significant number of people will buy a gaming PC just for this one game. Im sure some will, but not enough to notice.

People here have been buying upgrades for the game all summer, there's a whole thread about it. I think people are more likely to build a gaming pc then they are to buy a ps3 or xbox 360 for this game.

Doesn't change the fact that the 360 version will be far more popular and it's where all of my friends will be. Chat, server management, cheating, massive hardware advantages... All of it is too tedious on a PC

Not to mention it has already been this way for ALL Battlefield games so far. It is nothing new to console guys.

And you will pay the same amount on JUST a video card as you would on an entire Xbox 360 with the game...

Yeah...

No one is buying a PC because of this. Sure, PC guys will have loads of fun, but it won't convert anyone.

Actually the next generation of xbox is going to be shown at E3 next year with the release of the new console later in the year (with similar expected plans from sony), they may have meant to have this generation of console last until 2015 but the wiiU came out slightly more powerful than the other 2 consoles and MS/Sony can't be having tricksy nintendo stealing all of their precious market share.

On a side note has anybody noticed that microsoft has bought the domain name sony-microsoft.com...

I'd be willing to bet the opposite. I'd be willing to bet that once the consolites find out that BF3 actually takes coordination and skill, they'll go hopping, skipping and jumping back to Call of Duty, where they can get that false sense of skill. It'll be shunned by the majority of console players much like the Bad Company series (or any FPS that isn't Halo, CoD, or Killzone).
