Getting ready to start folding. Need some help?

Thread Starter
Folding sounds a bit interesting to me, and sense im gone during school from 6 A.M. to 3:30 PM I figured I might as well put my GPU and CPU to good use while im gone. (Starting school again in about 2 weeks)

So how should I start folding?
Exactly how am I helping by Folding?
Will I get anywhere with my current hardware? Im not going to upgrade, just wondering where I will get.

Thanks cheers.gif

Check out the sticky threads in this forum.

Your hardware looks fine, and I'd focus on GPU folding.

You should start by following the links below...

SMP (CPU)

GPU

You are helping by folding...you are helping by adding to the computing power of the whole F@H community, which ='s faster finds to cures of the diseases we fold for.

Yes, your current hardware will do great, you are looking at 6-8k PPD for your CPU and 10k+ for the GPU.
