That sucks dude, you might be stuck looking for another mouse.

Both the MX518 and the Razer 3G have really low LODs. You'll have to use the newest firmware (1.39/1.40, depending upon if you want prediction) and 3.03 drivers will be needed for the Razer.

I said that in a joking manner without specifically naming anyone, which is why I included the meme. But I can see why some would take offense to that so I removed it.

What surface are you using?

I know for a fact my Kai.G3 tracks all the way up the 6.0mm but a dark surface pad like the QcK is confirmed to be around 3.6mm~

You could try placing a piece of hazy scotch tape half way over the bottom of the sensor hole to significantly lower the LOD if all else fails. GL

i get 1.5cm lift off on wood with a razer 4G phillips twin eye
its all surface dependent guys
find/test a different surface
keeping trying until u find one that u and your mouse likes
my 4G works PERFECTLY fine on the correct surface

I wouldn't bother and send it back, it has to be broken with LOD of 8 CD's.

Yeah, has to be defective mouse or your surface. My DA Black, which has the same 3.5G sensor, without the tap fix it will stop tracking at 3CDs. I'm currently using it with hyperglides and the white shiden, and it stops tracking at 2CDs now, which is good enough for me. I could use the tape fix to get it even lower but don't have the need for it.

My buddy has a 3.5g non black, his stops tracking at 4CDs, thats with stock feet and a dark pad. Which is the worst I think a DA can get, 8CDs is just crazysauce!

The new firmware is meant to have dramatically lower LOD, worth a try i'd say.
