More voltage? I think so. 5850 Xtreme help

Thread Starter
Hello everybody, right now I'm running the good ol 5850 Xtreme (Sapphire) at 820/1075 on v1.093.

If I push it beyond here on the core it artifacts on Metro 2033 benchmark. So my question is should I bump this thing up again?

From what i have seen of other peoples benchmarks I seem to have far from a golden 5850 chip because I am already having to go 1.093v to get this far. Anyways is it safe to bump it up again and what are the max recommended voltages that I can do safely?

The card idles at 35-37c and under load in games like BFBC2 it still stays between 60c and 70c. This is with a custom fan curve I have set but it can always be more aggressive in my opinion

Any help is appreciated, thanks OCN.

sometimes it artifacts becase the memory is too high. Turn that down by 50, increase Coreclock and volts by 10

Well take a look at my sig rig, i still am running my Asus 5850, even though i have a 6950 thats been waiting to get put in-lol.
I would for sure try more voltage as long as your ok doing it. Even with a little more your temps may not change and yes if you have room to speed up your fans your good to go. I have mine on custom settings.

I run mine 24/7 and my max temp only gets to 68c under extreem use. And not sure about your card but i know mine can handle a lot more heat and be just fine.
