Screen occasionally blacks out in IE9

Thread Starter
Hi all.

The title says it all basically, Twice now, my screen has blacked out while using IE9 for a couple of seconds, then returns back to normal. I am currently using a Radeon HD5770 video card. Whats wrong here? is this a knowen issue with IE9 and ATI? I never had this issue with Google Chrome.

Edit: im only using 1 video card. I sold the second one..Just happened for the 3rd time just as i was entering this website. It only happens when IE9 is in use, it does not happen any other time.

Thanks.

Nathan.

Let’s test to see if you have better performance if you switch to software rendering instead of hardware. You can test this by:
· Close all internet Explorer windows
· Click Start
· Type Internet Options
· Press Enter on your keyboard
· Click the Advanced tab
· Check the Use software rendering instead of GPU rendering* box
· Click OK
· Open Internet Explorer
