Worth the Waterblock upgrade

Hey guys I have just set up my loop this week and its great but I haven't yet decided if I want to cool my gpu from it as well. My current gpu cooler (Zalman VF3000F) does a great job of keeping it below 65C when OC'ed but I want to know how much lower my temps will go if I got a water block for it. Since I live in New Zealand I wouldn't get much for my zalman if I was to sell it and a water block wouldn't be cheap (about $100us minimum in nz because they are not sold here so I will need to get one shipped in). Is it worth the upgrade because if its only a 1-3C difference I can't really warrant the money spent on it.

with a good radiator in your loop, some 470s on water load as low as the low 40s. For my old three 470s @ 850, the maxed out ~55c. with a mild to medium oc, they might stay under 50c. If cost is a concern, I would just keep the zalman and maybe get a block for your next gpu upgrade, unless you can find one cheap. Hit the f/s section, I'm sure some one is selling some blocks and can send it to you in NZ for a bit more

Yea I have a 360 and 120 rad set up atm so I should be sweet and one option is I might look at selling my card as a whole and getting a brand new one with a block installed off here. I can get roughly $300nzd or about $260usd for my card and I saw recently a 480 with block for $250 so including shipping to nz I can spend only slightly more and get a better card and with a block.

I'd rather watercool your gpu than your cpu. AMD chips put out hardly any heat comparatively.

yea I wasn't actually going to go watercooled just for my cpu but I got offered a loop from a mate switching from amd to intel and didn't need a loop any more and it was at a price that I couldn't turn down so I thought why not but yes i do agree watercooling my gpu would be better but thats why im looking at the best way to do it now
