Tegra 3 will be out by the Christmas season. tongue.gif
Sounds good, competition = better graphics = better games for everyone.

This. The iPad video probably performs better because you have to convert/downscale it to the only format it can play.

Android is great but some big name game developers just don't make games for android yet. Like Final Fantasy and street fighter are not on android anytime soon.

Come on...
Gaming shouldn't even really be considered on tablets.

They are just casual games. That's it.

Exactly, most of the games on my Transformer are just games to waste time with. Nothing serious and I dont have an issue with playing movies and shows on mine either. If you dont convert it correctly you will get issues though.

Than why make processors like the Tegra 2 and the upcoming Tegra 3 that are made aiming at graphics performance?

Add to that, HDMI mirroring, DLNA streaming and USB hosting for game controllers are available in some Android tablets today.

It's simple. The iPad has better software. Android has been after the seemless, fast, and responsive experience that the iPad offers. It takes a unison of manufacturers working with the software maker to develop the best experience possible. Android is still coded in a way that stutters and chops up on things when it is beyond the capabilities of the present hardware, thus requiring newer and newer devices to keep up with the demands. Apple has always done things with their software the covers up the failings and misgivings of the hardware.

What I am trying to say is the software does everything it can to always appear fast and responsive, even if the hardware is not.

^ That's what Ice Cream Sandwich is supposed to address. The new Android version will finally unite tablet and phone OS into one optimized package, featuring full hardware acceleration previous Android builds didn't have and iOS has had since version one. Once this update goes live, then we should expect performance increases thanks to better optimization.
