Can my pc run 1080p without lagging?

Thread Starter
Hello Guys, It's me again. I have followed all your advices regarding my bottlenecked PC and it is working better now.

However this time I would like to update my Monitor to one with 1920x1080 resolution (Mine is 16x9)

Question is would i be able to run games smoothly on that resolution?(Games like Witcher 2, Mass Effect 2, Starcraft 2 and the coming Deus Ex)

Specs:
Q8300 Intel Quad OC'd to 3 gHz
4GB ram
Asus p5g41t-m lx MOBO
GTX 560 EVGA (non-ti)
Windows 7

Thanks guys in advance.

(Already posted this but im getting no response at all, prolly posted it in wrong section so i went here.)

This is the monitor i am planning to buy Dell ST2410 24

It should do - but you'll have to turn down the settings in the Witcher 2 quite a bit! Possibly SC too. I can't really comment on ME2 as I've not got much experience with it graphically.

for sc2 you should be just fine, now the witcher 2 on the other hand loves to eat gpu's for breakfast, so you would want to run med-high settings and make sure ubersampling is turned off

ya dude even on my new rig with everything maxed to the max witcher 2 doesn't even stay at 60 fps. so that game is a beast.

Make sure to apply patch 1.3 if you want to play the Witcher II with reasonable FPS. Otherwise (especially with uber sampling on) it will bring your system to it's knees. Before 1.3 my sig rig was delivering ~25-35fps just outside of town with Uber sampling on, now it's ~80-100fps. Massive efficiency increase.

no way in heil a single 560 will run witcher 2 maxed

performance did increase considerably with the latest patch(1.3), i can now run ubersampling with somewhat playable frame rates... still dips below 30 FPS when fighting crowds
