Looking to upgrade my Sig rig. Need Advice

Thread Starter
Im not as up to date on my hardware as i once was.

What would be a good MOBO/CPU/Ram to upgrade to? I will be looking for used parts in our forsale section to get more bang for my buck.

The current rig is in the sig. Im thinking my mobo is failing me and decided it was time to update.

Im hoping my GPU/HD/Soundcard/PSU will all be enough to power a new system.

So what should i be looking for?

Thanks for the advice.

Oh i game/watch movies/ surf the net on this system.

Thanks

Burns

I would say a i5 2500k too. In the for sale section i've found:

A brand new ASUS P8P67 Deluxe for $185 - http://www.overclock.net/main-compon...eluxe-rev.html

A ASUS P8P67 B3 with 8gb of DDR3 memory for $190 (great deal!) - http://www.overclock.net/main-compon...ard-new-g.html

There might be a CPU available in the for sale section too.

Grab a 2500k from Frys,Microcenter, or watch for deals at Tiger Direct and Ewiz. You should be able to knock $25 or more off of the Newegg price.

Grab an Open Box motherboard from Newegg or snag one off Ebay. You can find great boards for $75 to $100.

Grab a 4gb kit for $30.

Once you sell your current stuff, you'll see that the upgrade can be cheap as hell.
