if you own a black berry, get a playbook. it's very nice and well built. i use one myself and all the issues that it originally had are next to gone with the updates. Bezel swiping is very handy as it allows you the best multitasking switching there is out of any tablet so far. and media playback is the best with front facing speakers and decent screen quality. apps are next to non existant, but that will change soon with the ability to port android apps into thier marketplace and run them natively.
HP touch pad is nice but has no front facing camera and apps store is next to non existant. buggy at the moment but there are updates almost every two weeks to get it up to snuff as a decent work tablet. comes in a flimsy piano black case.
asus tranformer 101:
argueably the best android tablet available due to its battery/keyboard accessory that turns the tablet into an android based net book and runs up to 16 hours with the extension. built quality isnt the best but for what it does and the pricing it is hard to beat.
another android tablet. compared to the asus tranformer, id have to say the built quality is better as it has an aluminum case and the touch screen has better material. more or less the same as the transformer in form and function but feels better in the hands.
windows 7 tablet:
essentially a tablet netbook and does everything u can do in windows 7. not as sleek as the other tablets but it can get the job done fully at the end of the day (if your day lasts for 5 hours that is).
now out of all of these, the question is what kind of projects are you doing? is it app specific or is there only a lot of typing and e-mailing involved? because if its app specific and only the ipad has the app, then your only option is ipad in the end.
if youre doing a lot of typing via email. all of these tablets will do the job nicely and its the other features that will win your choice at the end of the day (like front facing cameras, game apps, web browsing experience, etc..)Edited by subliminally incorrect - 7/27/11 at 8:35am
