I heard that most users of these mice grip the mouse such that the index finger is on the left click, middle finger on the scroll wheel, ring finger on the right click, and pinky and thumb on the sides, as opposed to the usual "index and middle finger on top and thumb, ring and pinky on the sides" palm grip.

I have been using my MX518 for quite awhile with the usual grip and my ring and pinky finger would start to hurt after a few hours of gaming. I tried the other grip style and I felt a little more accurate, and my ring and pinky finger didn't hurt, but instead, my pinky gets fatigued easily because lifting up the mouse with my pinky and thumb feels more difficult.

So, to all MX500/510/518/G400/G5/G7 owners, how do you grip your mouse?

Index finger on left, middle finger on wheel, ring finger on right. Pinky and thumbs on side.

Owner of two MX518s, one MX510, and one G5. I'm a hybrid fingertip/claw grip (but more claw grip).

This is just like that other poll about grips. #1 is what most everyone uses, #2 is weird and uncommon.

You really gotta have small hands to prefer grip #2.

How does that feel natural to you?!?!?!?!? Trying it just feels so weird.

Index finger on the left click, middle finger on the right click and the rest on the sides for me.

The first, the second feels wrong and it feels like I don't have as much control.
