Its because the chipset is a variety of things, so there is no just one place to check. You could try checking the USB drivers before and after and seeing if it updated, as that is a common thing that the chipset drivers do, but even that is not guaranteed.

You could check your manufacturers site for a tool for your motherboard.

Go into device manager > system devices and then look at what is under those. Do not expect all of the items listed under system devices to show the chipset drivers you are looking for, but some of them should.

It would be a lot easier to tell you what to look for if you would go into your profile and enter your system specs.
