Debating between 3 keyboards - Page 3

Sometimes personal preference creeps into people's preferences for one switch over another, but it seems that just about everyone who has tried out those Black Alps switches think they are mediocre. The main reason why people who don't like Model M style buckling springs is because they are too stiff, and the Black Alps are just as stiff, and bottom out easily, and when they do bottom out, it's rather unpleasant.

I disagree, I actually really like my AT101W. It is without a doubt a huge upgrade from a rubber dome. Obviously not quite as good the white alps the omnikey I'm typing on, but still a very solid typing experience. I've always bottomed out my keys and while it does have a bit more of an impact, I don't find it unpleasant. I lent it to my mother after her keyboard died, and she said she also very much likes it.

Still, a good choice on the Model M, buckling springs are certainly my favorite as well.
